Entering June, Envision Greenwise Group's sustainability roadmap has reached a critical milestone—the group’s first EV battery processing facility in Hong Kong will officially commence operations this month. Concurrently, the group has achieved significant progress across its green energy business sectors and ESG practices. The following is a compilation of the group's recent key milestones:
1. "TVB News” Report: Hong Kong’s First Large-Scale EV Battery Recycling Facility Commences Operations This Month
On June 3, TVB News reported that Envision Greenwise Group's first large-scale EV battery processing plant in Hong Kong is set to officially enter production this month. The plant utilizes core technologies to refine retired batteries into recycled "Black Mass", successfully achieving resource circularity and reuse.
The report highlighted that as the government actively promotes new energy vehicles, the electric vehicles (EVs) registered in earlier years are progressively entering their battery retirement phase. According to the government's written response to legislative council questions, calculated based on initial EV registration figures, the volume of retired batteries is projected to surge from approximately 1,300 metric tons this year to around 6,700 metric tons by 2030.

2. "NOW News " Interview: Retired EV Battery Recycling
As Envision Greenwise Group's first EV battery processing facility in Hong Kong prepares to officially launch operations this month, it has garnered substantial attention from various sectors of society. On June 5, Ms. Kwok Ho Yee, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the Group, was invited to appear on the NOW News Channel News Magazine to provide an in-depth share on the localized processing and circular utilization of retired lithium batteries.

Ms. Kwok delivered a detailed introduction to the plant's intelligent processing workflows: once retired EV battery packs are collected and delivered to the facility, they first undergo smart testing and sorting to evaluate their State of Health (SOH), followed immediately by safe discharging protocols. Post-discharge, the battery packs undergo intelligent disassembly. The resulting battery modules and cells are processed through an automated smart production line for crushing, drying, and physical separation. This ultimate process extracts high-purity battery "Black Mass"—which is rich in valuable metals such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, and manganese—as well as traditional metals like copper and aluminum. These outputs will serve as premium-grade recycled raw materials for new battery manufacturing, effectively realizing a closed-loop supply chain for resources.

3. "NOW Finance" 'Carbon Neutrality' Interview: EV Battery Recycling
As the penetration rate of electric vehicles (EVs) in Hong Kong steadily climbs, the proper handling of "retired batteries" has become an indispensable part of driving the local transition to green transportation. Recently, Ms. Kwok Ho Yee,the COO and Executive Director of Envision Greenwise, accepted an exclusive interview with the "Carbon Neutrality" column of "NOW Finance".

Ms. Kwok pointed out that by establishing recycling facilities in Hong Kong, Envision Greenwise Group can properly dispose of local retired EV batteries and utilize core technology to transform them into "Black Mass", a material rich in valuable metals, thereby achieving resource recycling and regeneration.
She emphasized that processing retired EV batteries directly in Hong Kong not only significantly reduces the carbon footprint of cross-border transportation, but also effectively fills the gap in Hong Kong's battery recycling industry. Facing the global green wave where 1 out of every 4 newly sold cars is an electric vehicle, Ms. Kwok believes that the demand for battery recycling and disposal will experience explosive growth in the future.

4. From Electric Vehicles to EV Battery Recycling, Seminar Shared New Milestones in Circular Economy

Mr. Jason Yip, General Manager of Chun Yang International (HK) Co., Ltd., was invited by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to speak at a seminar on the “Current Development of Electric Vehicles.”
During the seminar, Mr. Yip shared emerging trends in the EV industry and the design of the Hong Kong EV Battery Processing Plant, including the classification, recycling, and repurposing of retired EV batteries, as well as how to promote resource circularity in support of Hong Kong’s transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future.
The seminar received an enthusiastic response, over 300 industry professionals participating online. Chun Yang International looks forward to working hand in hand with all sectors to build a greener Hong Kong!
5. Builders Collaborates with Lido Garden for EHSS Project Groundbreaking Ceremony
On May 18, 2026, the project team of Builders Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Envision Greenwise Holdings Limited (01783.HK), together with representatives of Lido Garden, held a groundbreaking blessing ceremony on-site for “The EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme” (EHSS). Representatives joined in traditional ceremonial rites to bless smooth construction and favourable progress.

Being a core green improvement scheme within the estate, the project covers 279 parking spaces. It will effectively upgrade car park power facilities, deliver easy and hassle-free EV charging services for residents, and promote carbon reduction and low-carbon mobility across Hong Kong, bringing significant environmental benefits. The project is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2026.
6. Honored with the “New Industrialisation Award” by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers(HKIE)
At the recent HKIE Manufacturing, Industrial & Systems (MIS) Division Annual Dinner and Award Ceremony, the facility was honored with the prestigious “New Industrialisation Award” at the HKIE MIS Industry Award 2025/26.

This accolade recognizes the project’s innovative use of cutting-edge automation to efficiently transform end-of-life batteries into high-value strategic resources, such as “Black Mass.” This practice effectively embeds a circular economy model into Hong Kong’s modern industrial landscape.
